To see how often my parents really read my blog. I talked to them for almost 2 hours (1 each) last night and forgot to mention this as one of the latest current events in my life:
*Sunday afternoon I had my first encounter with the Reno police.*
DON'T FREAK OUT! The officer was very nice-he used to live on my street and was quite kind (surprisingly b/c I have heard horror stories about the Reno police). I was just going a little fast so he gave me a warning. No worries. But I can't tell you how scared I was. Obviously it didn't have that big of an effect on me as I forgot to tell you about it. Sorry!
My rationale behind my speeding (which I chose not to share w/the cop) is that in my little Saturn, I was much more aware of how fast I was going due to the volume of my engine and the vibrations of both my seat and steering wheel that occurred as I traveled. However, in this new Honda, I have a harder time gauging my speed as it is much quieter and runs much more smoothly. However, I am being more cautious so as not to incur another incident.
My apologies, Mom & Dad, for not being more careful. But let's give honor where honor is due-I have the best driving record of the 3 kids so I rest my case. Love you both and let's all be thankful I don't take after your road habits. :)
